Countryside B and B in the heart of Dorset
Being in the hamlet of Wonston, in the village of Hazelbury Bryan, we are situated in the heart of the countryside with footpaths nearby, and the designated walk, the Hardy Way, running through one of our fields.
Bird watching and stargazing
We are blessed with clean air, wide hedges and woods. Consequently many birds thrive. On our property we make special efforts to attract them. There are even holes in the wood cladding so birds can nest. This makes it a great spot for bird watching.
We also have a private wood where we have special birds nesting. Please ask when you visit.
Stargazing on a clear night is very uplifting. Bring your telescope.
The surrounding landscape, the Blackmore Vale, have small fields, given over to mainly dairy farming, while the Dorset Hills curve round in a glorious arc.
Christmas 2010
After winter snow the scene is magnificent as the hills often stay white-capped when the vale has long since thawed. It is a great time to see the Cerne Abbas giant.
Spring 2010
The hedgerows around our two fields are gigantic, filled with a profusion of wild flowers and birds. Explore the many footpaths and streams. Discover the tiny villages with charming names like Mappowder and Plush. Climb the hills from Ansty and look down on Milton Abbey and Milton Abbas.
Summer 2010

Late evening
As blossom on our fruit trees gives way to new buds the May greens turn dark and shady. Across the fields you will find Ibberton and Woolland nestled in the combes of the hills. Bring your paint box and set off for Sturminster Mill in a setting reminiscent of John Constable country.
Autumn 2010
Dawn mist
Evening Glow
Autumn colour begins in September and is at its best in October. By November many leaves have been blown off. Time to come indoors and toast your toes by our wood burning stove and admire the hills through the windows while we serve you tea or coffee.
