There are many events throughout the year in Dorset.  It is a flourishing society of shows, exhibitions, fetes and fun days.  Whatever your interest, let us know and we will keep an eye out for something special.

There are a number of Oak Fairs in the area and one of the best is just ten minutes drive from us at Stock Gaylard.  In 2010 it will be on August 28th.  See www.stockgaylard.com.

The Dorset County Show is a big event on the 4th and 5th September in Dorchester.

The Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show is on 18th August.  This is an excellent farm animal show without the usual commercial side of some shows.

The Dorset Steam Fair is a very special event.  Book early because in this area almost every Bed and Breakfast gets booked up.  September 1st to the 5th in 2010.

There is a cheese fair in Sturminster Newton that is now attracting many visitors.

Hazelbury Bryan has its own live music day called "The Festival of Bryan" on August 14th.
